We provide a number of while-you-wait repair services and a range of warranties.

Workshop Inspections: Chargeable

Any product can be brought into our workshops for inspection and an estimate. There is a standard inspection fee of £25, but this will be deducted from the final invoice if we carry out the repair work.

Inspection times vary according to the type of product, but we aim to complete all inspection within the following timescales:

• Cameras - 24 hours
• Audio products, such as Hi-Fi, DVD, Blu Ray - 1-3 days
• Televisions, including LCD, Plasma and CRT TVS - 3-5 days

Workshop Inspection: Warranty

We offer an ‘inspect while you wait’ service for all equipment under warranty. We will advise you immediately of the repair process for your item and provide an approximate time frame for completion of the repair, depending on the availability of parts from the manufacturer.

Any items that require software, adjustments or replacement parts that are in stock will be completed while you wait in the comfort of our reception area.

On-Site Repairs:

Wherever possible, our team of highly skilled field engineers and service support staff will carry out repairs in the customer’s home. Our service manager assesses all calls before call out to see if the problem can be resolved over the telephone without the customer incurring any costs. We will also pre-order any parts required to reduce repair times and to enable the repair to be completed during a single visit. We have developed repair kits for common faults to help us resolve most problems even more quickly and efficiently.

Collection/Delivery:

If required, we can arrange to collect the equipment from a customer’s home and deliver it back when the repair work is complete. Please contact us for further details.

Installation:

BSS is pleased to offer customers individual help and advice on setting up their equipment, and show them how to get the best use of their specific system within their home environment. Please contact us if you would like to find out more about this service.

We work directly with industry’s leading insurer Warranty Solutions, enabling us to offer a 10% discount on extended warranties for all consumer electronics.
